Motorized Kit for your LEGO McLaren P1™ #42171

Two versions:

  • Classic Version: Supports installation after assembly, only requires disassembly of a small number of parts, supports remote control of tail wing lifting, does not support remote control of butterfly doors
  • Advance Version: Adopting a fully functional design that requires significant modifications, it is recommended to proceed during the assembly process. It supports remote control of the tail wing lift and butterfly door
  • In addition, if purchased with lighting, an exclusive developed control cable will be included as a gift, which can be linked to connect the power battery and lighting

  • Specially designed for post-assembly modification, it can be installed by simply disassembling a few parts.
  • Support remote control tail lift.
  • Parts of hand-customized motor, the metal parts are more durable, the torque is stronger, and the building block shell is more beautiful.

Revised and Updated- Best Kit

This is probably the best kit to get if you want great customer service as well as preserving the mechanical functions of the set. I purchased the Classic version which had several issues; they responded with great communication and fixed all the issues I mentioned earlier. Kit is reinforced and enhances the car very well; very pleased with the service and overall product. I will note that the steering motor on my original did wear out/give way so maybe that was just a bad set, otherwise great set of products and the team.

Thank you again for your support. Although we went through some upgrades and issues, they were ultimately resolved, which is great. We look forward to more cooperation in the future.

Good start

This kit is good for keeping the gearbox and minimal disassembly however there are two main issues. The motor isn’t strong enough or the gear doesn’t produce enough torque to propel the car forward, resulting in a lot of teeth biting and clicking noises when accelerating. Instructions do say to accelerate slowly but even then, there is still clicking. 2, due the size of the motor with the exhaust piece it impacts the rear clam fully closing which results in having to modify the back end in order for it to close completely. However, that leaves you without an exhaust piece and having to find a place to fit that in…

Other than those two issues, the kit is good. Spoiler and steering modifications are great and add onto the car extremely well. The support team and staff are support great, easy to talk to, and very informative for any questions, they are really good! Hoping to see improvements for this kit regarding the motor itself and allowing the car to drive
